The other reviews cover it perfectly. It is a long and repetitive process with a lot of emphasis placed on high school and fit. They are hiring like crazy in the Irvine office and were in desperate need so my 3 interviews happened within two weeks. The hardest question I was asked was by a director who asked "Why should I believe you're motivated, everyone says that?" The process was quick and everyone was young and generally nice. They have a great environment however the low pay wasn't worth the perks. I ended up accepting a position elsewhere that pays double what I would have made at Houzz.

      Interview

oh. my. god. What a bizarre experience. First off, I have an MBA, a bachelors degree, and 5 years of industry experience. I am not an entry level worker fresh out of college. The first question I was asked was regarding High School, my gpa- ok normal whatever, and what activities I was involved in and if I could elaborate on those. Excuse me? What in the world? I have never EVER been asked that question in my life. I don't even think Subway would ask you that question. The interviewer LS was SUPER shady, and told me to save my questions for the end. I was so confused because I thought I had applied for a big girl job and yet...this seemed odd. In addition I had looked them up on glassdoor, read the reviews, and thought-certainly a project coordinator job wouldn't have anything to do with high school right? WRONG Super shady answers on my questions Is this an entry level role? "Well there are many roles here at houzz and all of them are different levels and we are hiring a lot right now." Ok, well is this particular role that I am being considered for entry level? "Well this one is but we have many that are not" Sure, what is the salary range for this role? "That's a question to ask the hiring manager, who does the hiring" She took a decidedly different tone with me towards the end, as one who realizes another is onto their deceitful game. As always, I should have taken glassdoor's word and AVOIDED. I got my rejection letter 4 days later :)
