The process consisted of at least two phone interviews, a Zoom interview with multiple team members, and an in-person final interview with the college president. Writing samples were also requested throughout the process, along with several recommendation letters from references, portfolios, writing samples, etc. The interviews were fairly positive however, it took a total of over six months for the entire process to play out. The negative experience is the fact that despite being one of two finalists, no one from the college had the decency to notify to tell me that the position was offered to the other candidate. This should be the bare minimum requirement of an employer in the final stages of the hiring process. Based on this experience, not only would I not want to work there (if the highest levels of administration don't have the decency to communicate), I would not choose the college for workforce development opportunities either. Highly disappointed in the lack of communications from a department that manages communications.
