I was first contacted by an HR recruiter on LinkedIn who told me about the job requirements and benefits. After that, we had a Google meetings call to go over these details again. Then, I talked to another HR person where we repeated the same stuff and they asked about my experience in the needed technologies. Next, I did a HackerRank test which was pretty easy. It had questions about the main technologies for the job and some algorithm stuff. After passing that, I chatted with someone from the tech team. It was a casual talk where we discussed how I solve problems, especially about a certain algorithm. The last step was talking with an Engineering Manager. We had a laid-back conversation about my work experience and how I'd handle different project situations. She gave me feedback right away on how I could improve answering these types of questions. Once all this was done, I got an email saying I passed everything, but I had to wait for a client to need my services. They found two potential clients for me, and each had their own interviews. I only had two meetings with the client who chose me in the end. Overall, the process was fine, but I think the HR part was kind of repetitive. We had a lot of talks and emails about the same things. I don't know much about how hiring works, but it feels like they could have just sent one email or had one video call instead of all that.
