Interview
Applied in June 2020, interviewed in July.
First Round: Video introduction of yourself by answering a few simple and interesting questions on the screen.
Second Round: Chat with a Hubspot recruiter over the phone. Clear and concise round. Questions to expect involve your past work experience (walk me through your resume) as well as what you know about Hubspot's business and culture.
Third Round: Roleplay and Product Demo. Pretend to be a customer support specialist and walk through a problem with a customer and demo how to use some of the features that Hubspot has.
Fourth Round: Product Demo and Chat Interview. A more in-depth product demo round. Behavioral interview questions with managers to assess your character.
The entire Interview process is extremely well designed and thoughtful. After going through the whole process, I understand why each of the rounds were crafted as they really assess how well you handle customer questions and how you think on your feet when dealing with customers. It is a long and challenging process but after completing it, you will feel extremely satisfied. Customer service is about being patient and overcoming problems with your customers. This interview process is designed to test your customer gene and persistence when dealing with challenging problems.

Tell me about a time you had conflict with a coworker or colleague, and how did you overcome it?
It is a 5 step interview process, with the 1st one being a phone screening, then a video call/interactive assignment, and then finally three 30 minute back to back interviews for the 3rd and final round.
