1. Phone Interview
2. 2 zoom interviews with managers consisting of assessment and behavioural questions
Overall, a good experience where the interviewers were friendly and guidance was provided throughout the interview process to assist interviewees in the preparation for the interview. Feedback was also given after the interviews to help interviewees improve. Only had 1/2 days to prepare for the 2nd round of interviews (think it is not always the case but due to the fact that they were trying expedite hiring in time for upcoming new-hire batch training), hence I found the assessment slightly difficult given that I am not quite the tech savvy person to begin with, coupled with the nerves and insufficient knowledge with regards to their software system. There will likely be questions asked that interviewees are not able to answer, thus interviewees were allowed to search online and google for answers during assessment (interviewer may request for you to share screen to understand your thought process in searching for answers, of which I found that slightly nerve-wrecking in my case). Would be good to get familiar with basic tech knowledge and their product features/offerings as well as display more confidence. Generally, a pretty pleasant experience and seems like would be a nice place to work at.
The hiring process consists of an initial HR interview to assess cultural fit, followed by a technical interview to evaluate skills, and concludes with three separate one-on-one interviews with different managers expecting STAR responses.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time you had conflict with a coworker or colleague, and how did you overcome it?
It is a 5 step interview process, with the 1st one being a phone screening, then a video call/interactive assignment, and then finally three 30 minute back to back interviews for the 3rd and final round.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at HubSpot in Apr 2026
Interview
Three rounds:
-Screening with recruiter
-Technical (live troubleshooting with a manager)
-Behavioral (3-30 minute interviews with managers)
The recruiter offers prep sessions before the 2nd and 3rd rounds. Take advantage of them as they’ll explicitly walk you through how to prepare.
