I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at HubSpot (Bogotá, Bogota) in Apr 2021
Interview
I loved the challenge that this process represented for me. It required creativity, learning and stepping out of my comfort zone, and I feel already a better professional after having gone through it.
I felt very supported and coached by my recruiter through most of the process. He was kind but firm at the same time. I had a really great experience with him.
Even though the process was exciting, these were my biggest pain points along the way:
- The role description was not really clear. I didn't understand the difference between the Associate CSM and the CSM roles, until I asked my friend who worked at HubSpot already.
- For my case study presentation I had been told before that it was going to be a role-play, and the instructions at the end of the document that I received were not really clear in that regard. This was clarified later by my recruiter one day before the presentation.
- I noticed that some of the interviews that were scheduled for me, didn't match the availability that I had provided on Greenhouse, however, this was not a big problem for me, as I could easily reschedule my client appointments.
- Even though my recruiter offered to answer my questions via email, some of them were left unanswered.

1 HR call
1 Zoom interview with hiring manager plus a mock call with a case study
Last round of interviews in 1 day with 3 different team members (30 minutes each) with competency based and behavioural questions.
The whole process is pretty straightforward and the recruiter was very helpful and always eager to follow up on everything and provide feedback as well as lots of resources to prepare for every interview.
Everyone was super nice compared to other interviews I had with other companies. I felt very comfortable and it felt more like an open conversation which made it an overall good experience.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at HubSpot in Jan 2022
Interview
The hiring processes was very long it took about 2 months due to the holidays and COVID. But it was well worth the wait! There are 4 rounds, one phone screening with recruiter, a phone interview with a csm manager, panel interview + a case study (4, 30 minute rounds with 4-5 csm team members), and then one more interview with a senior CSM. I ended up having a 5th interview to meet the hiring managers, but got my offer a few hours later! The recruiter called me before each round to prep me with questions that I would be ask which I found very helpful! The recruiter was very transparent through the whole process and got back to me very quickly with any questions I had. Everyone I interviewed with was so nice and easy to talk to, they made the whole interview process less stressful! This interview process definitely takes a lot of pre-interview prep and research into HubSpot but it is well worth it! I’m so excited to join the team!
