I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at HubSpot (Dublin, Dublin) in May 2021
Interview
The interview was less than average. In the initial call with the recruiter, they were 15 minutes late to a 20 minute long meeting. Salary expectations were not even discussed.
The first round of interviews (with the hiring manager), he also was 7 minutes late to the 30 min zoom meeting, and did not apologize until I called him on it. His tone was very flat and it felt like he was not interested in being there.
He asked one question only (tell me about your current role and what you do), and had no other questions about my previous experiences (I have over 12 yrs experience and only in my current role for 2 yrs.) At the end of the call I had to ask most of the questions about the role. Surprisingly, we finished earlier than expected, even with him being late.
The feedback I got was that they had other candidates both internally and externally whose backgrounds were more aligned to the role. The rejection did not surprise me, as the hiring manager's tone reflected his disinterest in being there. I just feel like preparing for this interview was a complete waste of my time, and their behaviour makes it highly unlikely for professionals to seek opportunities there.

The interview process was intensive, but your Recruiter will give you all the info along the way. First a recruiter calls, then a role-play & segment manager call, followed and 1.5 hour call with two different leaders on the team
