I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at HubSpot in Jan 2022
Interview
Recruiter call went fine. Basic questions around current role and how it fits the role they are hiring.
Next interview was with department director, not the hiring manager. Normal general start with me talking about my experience however, there was NO interest or follow up on my current role, projects, process, etc. Instead, the interviewer just asked TWO very specific questions. Multi-layered questions that could’ve easily been broken down into a normal conversation. It was very odd and slightly uncomfortable due to the flow of our dialogue. No interest in me as a person or in my soft/hard skills. It made me feel uneasy by how unnatural it was. Trust me, I understand the need to breakdown problems and solutions by steps, actions and detailed thought process but their approach just wasn’t working for me. It just was very off, uncomfortable and unnatural - Unlike any other interview I’ve been on.
If you are interviewing here, just be prepared for the most specific questions you’ve ever heard of.

Question 1
Can you tell me about a time where you led a initiative from start to finish, what data points did you use, how did you establish those data points and how did you bring everyone on board and what were some challenges?
Interview process had four rounds. Spoke to the person who would be my direct manager first, then to a peer who was currently covering the role being hired for, then to two more people, one from the recruitment team and one from a different functional team. They tell you the purpose of speaking to each person and what 'theme' of questions will be asked in the 30-min interviews.

What have you enjoyed about the interview process?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HubSpot (Boston, MA) in May 2022
Interview
Very hectic, chaotic and last minute. I was disappointed to learn how the different departments were not communicating and a last minute cancellations of a final interview on the last day. The recruiter was unprofessional, short and did not take accountability.
Applied online for multiple roles and they didn't reach out until months later. The recruiter asked to schedule and then didn't even follow-up or provide a way to schedule.
It's clear they are reaching out acting like they're considering candidates simply to collect the EEOC data. What a waste of time. I wish there was a BBB type of board where we could report these things. They will never get future consideration from me or referrals again.
