I applied online. I interviewed at HubSpot in Apr 2022
Interview
Didn't get past the initial screening but it was one of the most painful screenings I've ever had to go through. The recruiter who screened me didn't really tell me much about the job or company when asked, made my turn of asking questions seem like an inconvenience, and her lack of enthusiasm during our entire call was very telling about how she really feels about the company (contrary to her answer) and her effort in her role. It was extremely unpleasant. Her entire demeanor was very uncomfortable, coming from someone who is usually able to find some middle ground with people. Such a shame, though, since HubSpot seems like a great place to work at.
Two things I liked: The people I spoke with were very friendly. Hubspot give you a lot of materials to prepare for interviews.
Two things I didn't like: I was not informed from the outset of how many rounds of interviews and tests the interview process would consist, and I actually still don't know. It took too long after interviews to learn whether you were invited to join a next step.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HubSpot (Melbourne) in Oct 2024
Interview
There was an initial screening interview with a Talent Acquisition team member, then a Manager interview. I withdrew my application before the Manager interview. I felt that the culture at HubSpot was not in alignment with industry standards, or my expectations. A couple of examples of this: I was told by the initial interviewer that the manager would want the successful candidate to 'bleed orange'. Secondly, after looking at the potential interview questions, there was a question along the lines of 'tell me about a time you had to fire a friend'. For these reasons, I felt that the organisation lacked professionalism.

Interview
3 rounds, first with a recruiter, then with a manager, then with 4 team members (about 2 hours) and a presentation about a case study with one of the people
