Meant to fail !!! Apply through a recruitment website, I got the first email after about a week from their recruiter, asking to set up a phone interview. She asked me for as many times/ dates I could give her and I replied almost immediately. It was a Thursday and the first availability I suggested was the day after, Friday. The next ones for the following week. Anyway, she never got back to me confirming a time or date so I took that she was just busy and would let me know the day after. Friday morning and still no answer from her, so I wrote her and still no answer. That same afternoon I get a call from whoever would be my boss, (super smart and kind man). His call really surprised me, was definitely unexpected! We discussed my background and told me they would get back to me by next week with an answer. I totally failed the interview, wasn’t prepared at all since the lady never got back to me. I was driving and it was just a bad time for me. I feel like i should have just tell him that wasn’t a good time but I did not want to seemed unprofessional. Now I wish I would just hadsay the lady never confirmed any interviews because it’s a great company to work for and missed my chance. Recruiters, coordinators PLEASE give us heads up when you schedule us for interviews; interviews and the whole job hunting process is already stressful enough itself for you to add any other stress.
