      Engineering Co-op Student Interview

      Feb 15, 2017
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Husky Energy in Feb 2017

      Interview

Received an email from a third party company called "Take the Interview" to complete a video recording interview for later evaluation by Husky. They showed you the question on screen and then you had 30 seconds to come up with a response, you then had 2 minutes to answer. Questions were standard eligibility mixed in with behavioral. The whole recording your interview was very impersonal and made it harder to take it seriously.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Husky Energy (Calgary, AB) in Jun 2016

      Interview

I applied in May. An HR employee contacted me in the middle of June and we booked an interview for the next day. The overall interview took 30 min. It started off with formal questions, related to eligibility to work in Canada and my availability. The second part consisted of purely behavioural-style questions. The person of the other side was typing my answers; she was very nice and patient.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Husky Energy (Calgary, AB) in Jun 2016

      Interview

Applied online. Got a call from an HR representative to schedule first phone interview. 30 min interview purely behavioral questions. She was very nice and easy to talk to. She would put you in context for each questions highlighting the skill she was looking for. Also asked to answer with STAR method. Got a call for the second interview with the hiring manager for that position. Did not do second interview. Husky was a bit slower then other big companies.
