I was contacted by a Recruiter. 45 minute phone interview. Another 45 minute phone interview and then a 1 hour on-site. They also required 4 references prior to the interview. The entire time I dedicated to this interview was 4 hours (drive time, prep, contacting references). After my on-site I received a generic email telling me they were going with another candidate. I felt this type of notification was disappointing considering the amount of time I had dedicated to the interview. At minimum, a personal email would have been more respectful and left me with a positive experience vs negative.
