      New Employee Trainer Interview

      Jul 12, 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Westlake, OH
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Hyland (Westlake, OH) in Jun 2015

      Interview

I was referred by two employees working in a different dept. I submitted my resume online and was contacted via email for a phone interview two weeks later. The phone interview lasted about 30 minutes and before hanging up the recruiter I was speaking with informed me that they would like to move forward and meet in person for another interview. Three days later I went to the main campus for my in-person interview. They gave me a technical screening lasting an hour long consisting of about 30 or so questions. Questions were mostly multiple choice, some sort answer and one extended response question. Immediately after completing the tech screening I met with a team lead and had an hour long interview with her, which included a 5 minute role play. At the end of the interview she informed me that she would like me to come back again the following week for an interview with the dept head. In the interim I was asked to create a technical training session on one of their software products that would last 15 minutes. I was to deliver my training session at the beginning of the next interview to a panel of individuals. After that, the panel spent about 45 minutes asking traditional interview questions. At the end of this interview I was informed I would know within about 5 or 6 days whether they would like to move forward. 3 hours later I received the request for consent to a bg check so they could extend a formal offer.
