I went through a three-round interview process consisting of a virtual hiring manager interview followed by a peer interview. Overall, this was one of the worst candidate experiences I've had.
The hiring manager joined the interview late and appeared distraced. Many of my questions were met with vague, evasive answers.
I heard absolutely nothing for three weeks. The process concluded with a generic rejection email, the experience felt impersonal and disrespectful.
Overall, the interviewers came across as disengaged, and none of the conversations conveyed enthusiasm about the team or the organization. Rather than leaving excited about the opportunity, I walked away with concerns about the company's culture and leadership.
As someone who lives locally, I had heard numerous warnings from people in the area about Hyundai's work environment. I tried to approach the interview process with an open mind and form my own opinion. Unfortunately, my experience reinforced those concerns. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and apparent lack of transparency throughout the process made it clear that this is not an organization I would want to join.
