I met with the recruiter I applied to and wrapped up with the owner, Teresa. Everything went well and I was imagining being part of the team. Then I received feedback from my interview... Apparently after meeting with the owner, Teresa, she thought I was cocky and arrogant, which are two attributes I've never been described as, so I asked for more explanation. She had read so far into simple things I said, such as, "I'm really glad I started working at blank company because they are a top notch organization and their training was superb." She took that as me saying, "I'm the best recruiter on the planet, brace yourself. "
I was really quite shocked at her radical assumption and figured if she was that far off then it's probably not an organization I would trust with her at the helm. That and the 1990s glamour shot LinkedIn photo.
