      Enterprise Customer Success Manager Interview

      Oct 28, 2020
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

      I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at ID.me in Oct 2020

      Interview

Was contacted by an outside recruiter that was somehow associated with facebook. Brief conversation led me to believe he was green and the company was desperate for talent. Convoluted process and very unorthodox interview stages. First they want you to submit a writing sample, then prepare a 3 minute (no joke) presentation about the value proposition of their product for two companies they have existing partnerships with. The recruiter sent out a prompt 4 days before the presentation and panel and legit did not confirm until the night before. The interview consisted of two obviously disinterested senior CS org people. Manager barely paid attention, senior CSM asked non-intuitive canned questions that had no relevance to the actual presentation at hand. All-in-all this was a bizarre experience with a very immature company and even more immature interviewers + recruiters. The company values give you a very clear indication they are incredibly immature and have no nuance, childish wording, laughable mission statement. Stay away!

      Question 1

How would you convince one of two blue chip (existing client) companies to change their approach to id.me consumption to include education as a new vertical to leverage the platform?
