I had a 30 minute call with HR and was told that they would like to set up some time for me with a hiring manager. In the interim could I complete a project and a cognitive assessment? I was emailed these assignments and asked to complete them in 1-2 business days. The project was somewhat vague/open ended which meant you could really put a lot of effort into it. I created a PPT, some spreadsheets, a few word docs and a Trelloboard example. I took the assessment and submitted my project ontime and received an email from HR saying they received my project and would flag it for a hiring manager. Submitted Thursday, email Friday confirming it was getting looked at. Saturday night I receivd a form email saying I wasn't selected. I would advise people to be wary of the company that can't afford you 2-3 sentences of feedback after you put a lot of time and effort into their hiring process. I sent an email after the fact to the HR recruiter and he's completely ghosted me, tells me all I need to know about the organization. I also think that any time you take a cognitive/aptitude test it is your right to see how you scored.
