I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at ID.me (Mountain View, CA) in Jul 2024
Interview
My interview experience with ID.me was extremely disappointing. The process dragged on for over six months and involved more than seven interviews. Communication was consistently poor, and the team seemed disorganized—often unaware of what stage I was in.
I received a verbal offer, but it was abruptly revoked when the CEO suddenly paused all hiring for the Customer Success team. Adding to the frustration, the recruiter handling my process was not a full-time ID.me employee, despite using a company email address. He relied solely on phone calls for communication, making it impossible to verify details or hold them accountable for the misinformation they shared.
Advice: Be sure to document every conversation via email, especially any verbal offers. The extensive project they required felt like a waste of time given how poorly the process was handled.
Final Thoughts: This experience was a major red flag. RUN, don’t walk, away from this company!

Interview
Interviewer was obviously not interested in me. The interview experience wasn't great. The job didn't actually require experience in the description as it was an associate role. I did actually work one federal renewal in the past so I did have some experience
