I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at IGATE
Interview
the first round included a Written test, essay type on a common topic, pretty simple. Next is the interview (video conf) with the head of the department. > NExt was the pathetic one, the HR discussion. All possible questions on relationship, family and emotional well being ... etc

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at IGATE (Pune) in Feb 2015
Interview
First step was a written test. It was meant to test English, grammar, and proofreading skills. It also had a few questions on technical writing processes. The last four-five technical questions were optional.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at IGATE (Bengaluru)
Interview
Initially, I got a call from the HR to attend an interview. I took up the interview and the first round was a written test. After that the HR asked me to have lunch and come meanwhile she would get the test reviewed. I was waiting for almost 1 hr. The HR came and said that the concerned panel is busy. I will call and let U know. I came back and the next day too I did not get any reply. So I called the HR and only then she said that I have cleared the first round and she would arrange for a telephonic interview. I took up the telephonic interview as well and was asked to submit work sample which I did. I did not get any reply from the HR. I kept calling her but to no avail. It was a horrible experience and I would say that the company ethics on the professional front is really terrible. Please teach the HRs how interact with people and also include the topic "POLITENESS" in the HR Training.
