I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at IHG Hotels and Resorts (Atlanta, GA) in Mar 2014
Interview
Applied via recruiter. Three days later, I had a phone interview with management (conference call with multiple people), which they really sifted through my resume line-by-line and asked me specific questions about the work I had done. Three days after the phone interview, I was called in to interview in person. I was primarily interviewed by the manager I would be reporting to, but was also introduced to the majority of the team I would be working with. The questions were fairly easy / normal interview questions, and a lot of what was discussed were the responsibilities of the role and how my experience could be applied to it. The phone interview was more challenging– I feel like the in-person interview was just to check that I didn't have three heads and had a generally positive personality. I had an offer the next day, but it was too low. I negotiated up and extra 12% and accepted the offer. From the recruiter to the accepted offer, the entire process took 2 weeks, which seemed unusually fast.
