The interview process from initial contact to decision took almost 6 weeks. First interview was a brief phone conversation with a recruiter - typical recruiter conversation. Wasn’t able to regain contact with recruiter for a few weeks until being contacted about having an in person interview at the store. This first in person interview was a good experience - typical questions regarding leadership experience looking for STAR method answers. Was informed in the conversation I was moving to the final interview. Met with this manager a week later - a lot less formal of an interview with very non specific questions showing inconsistency in the process from manager to manager. Was informed I’d be informed of a decision within a week. This time came and gone, had to reach out to be informed I should know very early the following week. That time came and gone as well, and I unfortunately saw on job update on LinkedIn that a connection had received the role I had interviewed for and didn’t hear from IKEA until the very end of that week. Very long, drawn out process overall and wouldn’t apply again based on how the decision communication was handled.
