      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at IKO Industries (Sumas, WA) in Jun 2023

      Interview

The interview process was the most unprofessional experience I've ever encountered. Unprepared interviewers, rush you through, then ghost you. To start, the recruiter suggested a Monday morning meeting 9:00 am PST (12:00 pm EST - timezone the recruiter sat in). I responded to the email within 3.5 hours confirming the Monday morning interview. Monday comes around, no call. I wait 10 minutes, giving the recruiter the benefit of the doubt, we all get busy...nothing. Her phone number is included in her email, so I give her a call. She answers and when I say I'm calling because we had a call scheduled she tells me she didn't have anything on her calendar, checks her email, finds my confirmation, and states I responded too late so she hadn't seen my confirmation. She conducted the phone screen at that time and moved me through to an assessment stating it should be completed ASAP. The assessment was ridiculous, requesting you to complete a bunch of problems as if you don't have access to any technology. Even onsite leadership stated its archaic. I completed the assessment the same day as the initial phone screen. Within 24 hours, the recruiter is rushing me to a call with the regional HR manager for the following day. She provided the time of the interview 2 hours prior to it occurring. Not ideal, but fine. I appreciate a quick interview process. This time turnaround was a bit longer, in just under a week the recruiter requested I go onsite for an interview. She gave me 24 hours notice for the requested onsite interview. Again, not ideal, but fine, lets keep the ball rolling. I get onsite, get taken to a room to wait, 15 minutes after this interview is supposed to start the interviewers walk in. They apologize, its their founders day and they were double booked...we interview, its fine, I tour the plant, also fine. As I'm walking out the departing says "we have other people we're considering so it could be a few weeks". This was extremely awkward and came off quite rude as well given I'd been rushed through the entire process thusfar. I followed up with the recruiter post interview requesting a timeline, she took 6 days to respond, then gave a non-answer of "I'm following up" then ghosted. 22 days later I received a generic email from Workday stating I was no longer under consideration followed by a bland rejection email from the recruiter.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at IKO Industries (Wilmington, DE) in Aug 2012

      Interview

I responded to an online job posting for an HR position and was contacted by a staffing agency recruiter. The recruiter was extremely professional and did an outstanding job in screening for the position and arranging for a phone interview with the company and an onsite interview. The HR person who was leaving the job after more than 15 years was the interviewer. It was the most unprofessional, unfriendly interview one could imagine. He repeated the exact same questions we had already discussed in a phone interview, did not go into any depth of questioning on my experience and then proceeded to ask for my driver's license and other personal information to run a background check. I could not believe in today's business environment, a company of this size would have an HR person who could put the company in such a precarious position.
