I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at IMG Worldwide (New York, NY) in Sep 2012
Interview
I Interviewed for a position at IMG Models. First I got a call from the Human Resource Manager and we spoke on the phone. It was mainly a reviewing my resume, we spoke about my background and experience, why I was interested in the position, what I knew about IMG. Then I was invited for an in-person interview with the same person.
Overall this was not a good interviewing experience; it felt like more of an inquisition or interrogation than a conversation, and I did not get that much information about the actual position or people I would be working for, even though I tried asking questions about them. It was as if the HR rep was reading from a long list of suggested interview questions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The questions were not difficult, just very basic and standard. Like reading off a list of "Suggested interview questions."
- If I were to call your previous employers what would they say about you
- How do you handle deadlines
- Why should we hire you
- What are your short term goals
- Where do you plan to be in 5 years
The only reason I selected difficult is because this was not a conversational interview. If you are comfortable with an interview consisting entirely of ^ these type of questions it should be no problem.
Cover letter and CV sent to the department of choice or through HR....6 month application process and multiple interviews in between. Very friendly and approachable interviewees. Very quick to reply back to you via email and if they see potential but don't offer the role to you they will be happy to have to back for a more appropriate role.
