I was reached out to by a recruiter on LinkedIn with a contract to hire position at Apple. I had two 15 min phone screens with two different recruiters. Process moved quickly in the beginning, and I received my "one and only" interview two days later. Almost immediately following my interview, the recruiter called and told me I was the most solid candidate and there was nothing but positive feedback. I was told there would be a hiring decision made two days after this interview. The day after the interview, I sent my recruiter a thank you letter for the interview to forward on, only to be met with an unexpected "out of office" reply. Unprofessional to not let me know this. Then, about 30 min past the decision deadline I was called and given a non-answer. I was then asked to "be patient" and asked to provide NDA work from my current job (all internal work that I stated previously I cannot share). No update on when to expect an answer by.
Here we are over a week past the deadline and I haven't heard a word about when there will be a decision, despite repeated attempts to get an answer. Huge waste of time and completely unacceptable to me.
