The process started with a 100-minute HackerRank C#/.Net skills assessment. The skills assessment focused on basic OOP principals and foundational C# concepts, followed by two easy to medium level coding challenges. An entry level engineer would likely be able to pass this assessment without too much difficulty.
Upon passing the skills assessment, a 30-minute HR interview was scheduled. The interviewer for this US-based position was located in Europe, so they scheduled the interview for 6:30am PST for their convenience. At this point in the process I was informed that the position that was posted as full-time on LinkedIn was actually a 9 month contract position, and the target compensation was only $50/hr. The interviewer seemed bored and uninterested in the answers to the questions they were asking.
This was only two days ago so I have not yet heard back, but at this point I would decline any offers or requests for additional interviews.
