IT Labs interview questions

Total waste of time, the recruiter call was ok but for the online assessment they give you 2 coding challenges and 20 questions to solve in less than 40 minutes.

I received an email expressing interest in an interview with me for this role and I acquiesced, after which I was made to take a three-part assessment online that consisted of an aptitude test, a personality quiz and a workplace behaviour test. I also noticed that the company had closed applications for this particular position prior to the interview. During the interview, two team members spoke with me and seemed quite satisfied with my answers — I had the relevant experience and made sure to emphasize specific valuable qualities in a content writer at such an organization, including openness to feedback and the ability to work well with sales and marketing colleagues. Just two days later, I received a job openings email from LinkedIn and saw that IT Labs had reopened applications for this very role. I already knew then that I wouldn't be hired. Shortly after, I received a rejection email from the company, claiming that it "had to make a difficult decision between" its "top candidates". This immediately made me suspicious — seeing as applications had already closed before my interview, I was under the impression the company had already shortlisted its top candidates for the role. Why, then, was there a need to reopen applications if it had already had a list of "top candidates" as it claimed? Another thing to note is they asked me about my salary expectations during the interview. No salary range was listed on the job description and they did not ask me if my expectations were negotiable. And because they gave me literally no feedback on what I did right and what I could have improved upon, I have to wonder if I was rejected because the company felt I was asking for too much or because, as a recent non-European migrant to the EU, this decision was racially motivated. After all, I only have my Christian names and no photo on my LinkedIn profile, portfolio and CV, so my ethnicity remained unclear to the interviewers until the interview itself had started. Be wary if you're considering applying to this company. There are glaring inconsistencies in what they tell candidates and what they post online.
