Technical phone interview - After brief introductions, I received probably the most difficult technical interview question I've gotten in an interview, nothing like sorting or binary trees. It had to do with real software being developed at IXL. I struggled to get the answer, but my interviewer offered hints periodically. I was close to reaching the answer but time was up. My interviewer had to get to a meeting, but allowed me to complete the problem based on honor code after he left. Overall, it felt a lot like a team effort and my interviewer was very kind, patient, and helpful. It reflects well on the other engineers here. Onsite - 5 interviews, 4 of which are technical. First is warmup, second is a regular technical interview. Interviewer let me pick between two problems. After second interview, there is a lunch interview with a group of full-time engineers. After lunch, two more technical interviews, one with the CTO.
