The whole process was confusing and took a long time because interviewers were hardly available. They seemed to want to interview me because I could bring a skill set to the team they didn't already have, but the CXO kept focusing on my lack of museum experience. I didn't see how that was necessary given the other transferable skills I have. My background is in tech but when I interviewed with the CTO he was condescending and dismissive. It was all very odd. I thought they were all being rude to low-ball an offer; I can't imagine why else they would treat a candidate like that.
