Had a phone interview, and then met with the hiring manager. I thought both went well and was interested in the job. After meeting the hiring manager, the recruiter ghosted me. I reached out a week after the interview to see if I could get an update on my candidacy, and after promising to get back to me in the next week, I heard crickets. It wouldn't have been a big deal to let me know they were proceeding with other candidates, but not following up on their end left a bad taste in my mouth. And 6 months later I get an automated reject email from them - ha, no kidding!
