Met with the recruiter. He was very nice further interview which was on July 9th. After the phone screen he stated he would be in touch the following week. He stated the job was not posted yet but to apply. I did that on Sunday and sent him a message on LinkedIn, no response. I sent him a follow up message that following Tuesday, once again he ignored it. I then received a message from another recruiter stating the Executive Director wanted to schedule an interview, it was scheduled for the following Monday. I asked the recruiter for the email so I could send a thank you email and she was very quick to respond. I saked her a day later if she could update me, either way on how it went and what the next steps were if I was chosen. She opted at that time to send me an email with the first recruiter stating he would check and get back to me.....silence and ghosted. I had that conversation with e Ex. Dir about ghosting and she proceeded to tell how that happened to her. I have been in TA for over 20 years and never ghosted candidates. I gave them an answer either way. Sometimes it was not what they wanted to hear but it was a closure to an interview.
IU Health, do better and advise your recruiters this is not acceptable. They shouldn't be in that role if they cannot handle the pressure or courtesy of responding.
