Interview
Got a call from recruiter. They sent me a code challenge that must be completed for 4 hours. The code challenge is using a wierd code pattern that I haven't seen before. Their code challenge has 1 wrong unit test. I completed and passed all unit tests except of the one wrong unit test.
The next step is a video interview. They are also using a hiring software that is difficult to use. at first had difficulty fixing the audio in the video interview. They just should have used zoom.
I was expecting a more front end questions as I mentioned to the recruiter I was looking for a more front end role. But the interview is focused more on backend. But I think I answered the questions well.
The interviewers looks nice and smiling and trying to look nice but I think they are looking for someone perfect. The should tell the recruiter what they want and dont just invite people for interviews so no time is wasted.
There must’ve been a disconnect between my recruiter and the company. They gave the impression that they were happy with my level of experience—I took the time to complete a project that took a couple of days to do to a high quality. However, due to extenuating circumstances there was another interview after the final one. This new interviewer had awful people skills, and I certainly dodged a bullet with this company. It highlighted that the work culture was likely going to be toxic!

Very bad experience, they asked you do a take home code challeng, which definely need several days to finish it. After you finished it, no answer. So I sent email one week later, then gusess I got what? They said they have not start reviewing it. Then no reply anymore. It's very very unprofessional and rude. Very bad experience.

Interview
Initial call, take home assessment, onsite interview. Process was nice but the final stage was strange. I was rejected for not being experienced enough but it was stupid for them to bring me to the final stage to determine this, especially having proven myself technically capable after they "liked" my assessment. Waste of time and not really much of an interview in the final stage to get to know me better.
