I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Infogain (Noida) in Aug 2013
Interview
I got call from HR and briefed him about my current role and experience and then he asked me about my current package and expectations. After this my F2F interview was scheduled in Aug 2013 at 12:00 Noon. I reached on time and was called for my first round around 3:00 PM which was a written (on machine).
Written round includes 40 objective questions plus one program to write. All questions were very typical to answer. We were told to not switch the application window as that would end up closing the session. It was 1 hour session and the last question (program) was mandatory to attempt. Though by the time I reached to finish the last objective question and go for writing the last program, the session got completed in middle. However I qualified that round.
The second round was Technical discussion which went very well and healthy.
I was asked questions on WCF, Entity framework, Web APIs, REST, OOPs etc.. After around one hour of discussion, the guy asked me what role I am looking for and I said, I am more interested into a technical role. Then he asked me how will I commute to Noida as I was staying in Gurgaon. Then I answered that I dont mind relocating to Noida.
The last question he asked was "Whats my current CTC and Expected?" This question is not something a technical lead level guy should be asking. However, a person looking for a job cant refuse to answer- I told him my current and expected CTC (which is good as per market standards) as I had shared the same with HR. He asked me to wait outside and later HR comes to me and says that I have not qualified!
I smiled and said "No Problem" and left.
Later after couple of days It bothered me enough that could not help writing an email to the company's HR and shared my interview feedback in detail so that they be aware and ensure that the interview panel doesn't include such immature and unprofessional people. I also asked him to share the feedback he had got for me. But I never heard back from him. Why I wrote to HR is because this was again that technical guy asked me for package and did not let me go for next round despite my excellent round of interview.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Infogain (Noida) in Jan 2025
