I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Infosys in May 2019
Interview
Extremely disappointing. Out of the dozens of interviews I've had within the past month, the process with Infosys has been the most irresponsible and disrespectful process I have gone through.
I was referred to Infosys through a recruiter. I had a 30 minute phone call with a lovely Infosys recruiter (One of the only positives from the process). We had an excellent conversation and I was given most of the information I would need about the process, including the steps which would follow.
The recruiter sent me a 15 minute quantitative assessment on Hackerrank. Unfortunately, the recruiter which was fairly simple. I found the assessment to be ridiculous, as probability questions shouldn't be used as a metric to determine fit for a programming role.
Here's where the fun starts. Infosys decides to send me an email with the details of a technical interview, ON THE WEEKEND LESS THAN 24 HOURS BEFORE THE INTERVIEW, telling me the date of the interview. Advice: give your candidates some notice.
The technical interview was a different story. I speak 3 languages and have been surrounded by people who speak broken english. It's usually very easy for me to understand a person. However, understanding my interviewer was nearly impossible. The individual could not articulate himself well and I could not answer his questions. My interviewer was obviously very smart, however it was impossible to answer any questions of his. I kindly asked him to repeat himself on several occasions, and the interviewer was getting visibly frustrated that I could not answer his questions. At the end of the interview, he has the audacity to tell me I need to practice more.
Luckily I have several offers from other companies and was went through the process for additional interview experience. Honestly, if this is how the company treats a candidate, I cannot imagine how they treat their employees.
