I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Infosys (Bengaluru) in Feb 2021
Interview
So I applied in Infosys for Associate Consultant position via their careers site.
I received a mail for further steps in next few days and the interview was scheduled on the 6th day.
The interview was pretty good and in the next week I received a mail to submit the documents.
There was no clear response after this, HR was not even responding to mails and the contact details was not shared so it was hard to get in touch.
Somehow I managed to get in touch via another HR who called me to schedule the interview.
The next day I received a compensation call where the things were clearly mentioned and the final negotiation was done.
After that HR assured me that I will be receiving an Offer Letter within a week's time.
This is where the main problem started.
A week's time passed no response and even after multiple follow up mails and calls no response and suddenly the other week I received an automated mail stating that "We regret to inform you that currently we are unable to meet your expectations and will not be able to proceed further with your application". This came as a shock to me.
First of all the salary negotiation was already done. The HR himself quoted me a digit to which I agreed to and still I received a rejection email.
After this I tried reaching HR multiple times but no one responded.
After that I tried calling HR with another number and he picked up, told him about all this and he said your years of experience is does not match the set criteria. This turmoil took a toll on my mental health. My mind was disturbed and I felt humiliated every time when I ignored or not heard.
I have not seen such unprofessional behavior in my entire life, as the final digit was quoted by HR himself.
Reasons being that there is a huge communication gap between the management and no one really cares about the time we as a candidate invest.
This whole process of chaos is caused by highly unprofessional behavior of HR. They refused to share their contact details. They refrained to get in touch. After promising me an offer letter for which I was anxiously waiting for over a week, I was sent a rejection mail with no heads up.
Was moderate with first round technical with deeper questions
Second round was hr and it was good overall and recieved the offer letter with in a week after the interview
It was moderate to high level. They have asked about the troubleshooting skills and technical knowledge
They have tested the communication skills and how do we manage the priority tickets and stakeholders.
