Interviewed for a company there were looking to place me at, but didn't feel they were engaged. Took them over a week to follow-up with me about the role. Only one follow-up after the interview via e-mail that was a standard rejection template, nothing personal at all and not even a phone call. Need to work on candidate experience and engagement and not be transactional. If I am potentially helping your company land a contract/temp/temp-to hire role at a 60-70 percent or more gross margin on my hourly rate then you should have more personable followups if you have people interviewing for you. I understand if initially someone applies to your roles and you don't think they are a fit, by all means send an e-mail, but if they are actively engaged in interviews for you, give them a phone call.
