This was a very good, first call, phone screening. We discussed the role and went over my background. Recruiter seemed very interested and even stated that she would try to have a second interview before the end of that week and that she would reach out that same day. After a week of not hearing back, I went ahead and sent a follow up email; I am still waiting for a reply. I understand phone screenings are used to see if the person qualifies for the job, however she did make me feel I was moving to the next round when apparently, I wasn't. They could have sent an email stating they are still determining a few things on their end, that I did not meet the requirements anything to help me move forward with my job search.
