I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Insight Global (Chicago, IL) in Apr 2016
Interview
First interview is a phone interview then the second is an in person interview. Most of the questions were about your social life vs. what you have studied/experienced. I am involved in Greek life and that was mainly what we spoke about. At first, I really liked the company and the people. I felt that it wasn't a normal interview, it was more just friends talking. Then after the interview, I felt a little disappointed that they didn't want understand my goals and what I had accomplished in school.
I still kept high hopes for the third interview even though some of my friends that worked at Insight Global warned me about the environment. I flew to Chicago for the interview to come to an empty office. I didn't quite know what to do so I just sat down and I waited about 15 minutes until someone finally walked in. They put me in another room and told me to wait. Then two people came in and explained that they were both in a hurry and they had to make lunch short. During lunch, I tried to be as interactive as possible. I asked them personal questions and questions about the company as well. They kept asking me questions about my personal social life, which is usually acceptable but I felt like they were digging for me to say I drink. When we talked about my sorority AGAIN, she asked me what I liked about it. The first thing I said was the philanthropic aspect. I could tell she was disappointed in my answer and didn't ask me anything further.
Finally they took me back to the office where I met everyone and then had one more final interview with someone. We again talked about greek life. Not one of these people asked my what my GPA is, or what scholastic clubs I am involved in, or even what I was studying. I just felt as if all that mattered is if I was social enough. I wasn't about to talk about drinking in a job interview- it's just not who I am. They left the interview saying that they would be in touch but if they didn't contact me in 48 hours to call my recruiter. I called my recruiter right after and said that I think it went okay and I was excited for a response.
I called him again after 48 hours and again the next week. I still haven't heard a response so I'm assuming I didn't get the position. For a recruiting firm you would think they would be better at you know, recruiting. I wasn't going to write a review but then today I got a call from a new recruiter saying "I found your resume online and I think you would fit perfectly with our company. Please call me back if you want to start the interview process". This means that they don't even remember interviewing me.
This was definitely for the best- I want a career that cares about other things than drinking and socializing. Although it is important to me to have a fun culture, I also want my education to be useful in someway. If you think you might be overqualified for this position, YOU ARE. Trust me, do not waste your time.

Interview
They reached out to me. Great communication and straightforward process: 3 rounds of interviews including one screening call, one interview and an in person interview and shadowing day in office.
Two rounds of interviews to see whether or not you’re a good fit - translation if they can boss you around and make you do things beyond the job description
3 round interview process. 2 remote and the last one was onsite at the ATL HQ. They were friendly, I had a good time, but ultimately didn’t get the job
