The panel asked multiple highly technical interview questions that required detailed inside working knowledge of the bureaucracy, the institution, the processes, and the emerging concepts that IDA is dealing with. The questions were from directors with tens of years of experience. The questions focused on the acquisition process, the test process, the test agencies, and some general management questions.
It was clear they planned on an internal hire/industry insider. I was told to expect more information on the company's benefits immediately after the interview. I was also told "we would be talking a lot more" in the future from the committee. I did not hear back from anyone. I had to contact HR and request an explanation after I was ghosted.
For a management position at this level, I would expect professional courtesy such as actually receiving the information promised, and receiving a followup on the interview in a reasonable amount of time.
