The first interview was normal. I did well in the first interview and liked them initially. We went into discussions on ML Speech related projects and they looked very friendly, but then I was asked for a 2 days technical assignment. The assignment requires me building and deploying an API for face recognition, speech silence filtration and an NLP task. Then I needed to provide unit-testing for the app and deploy it using docker and following the CI/CD on Gitlab. I did a working version of the above but after finishing and submitting it, I heard no response from the company. I believe ordering such a time wasting thing should be at least followed by an email if they found another better working solution. They should learn to respect applicants and value our time especially after ordering such free time wasting tasks.
