Recruiter reached out to me and scheduled a meeting. Everything went fine during the screening round. They set me up for a meeting with the hiring manager. 2 days before the meeting I received an email saying that they already extended an offer to someone else and they accepted it.
Why would you schedule a meeting at first place if you already are in the process of sending someone an offer. I wasted my weekend preparing for the interview.

Question 1
Tell me about your experience with your current job
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Intapp (London, England) in Apr 2023
Interview
Very professional and prompt responses from HR. The interview itself was focused towards my experience and how I would adapt to their culture and product. There were several interviews each focusing on different aspects of my abilities.
I had 8 rounds of interviews ( 1-1) with different people in each round and all of the interviews were through Zoom video calls.
The first round was screening, second round with a client Support Engineer with whom I will be closely working with, third round with manager and fourth with a person from marketing team.
Fifth was an interview with a person from sales team, The other 3 rounds where with Vice President and 2 directors.
I received very positive feed back after each round and they have also done my back ground check by contacting my ex-colleagues. When I was waiting for the final offer letter they sent me an email stating that they have cancelled this requisition.
It took around 2 months to schedule these interviews and a lot of time and effort from my side to prepare for them.
This was very depressing especially during the time of COVID and lockdown. Please value a candidate’s time and efforts before scheduling an interview.
Thank you for your comments and feedback. I am very familiar with your situation and it pained me greatly when we had to cancel the position at the last minute. I am happy to share additional information with you if you are open to that. Please feel free to send me a message via LinkedIn to Bret Marshall and we can connect if you would like to do that.
