      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Philadelphia, PA
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Intealth (Philadelphia, PA) in Apr 2018

      Interview

Hiring manager had reached out to me about this role. Change management and HR intern. Low pay high teens, but works if you have extra time like I do, as of now. 1 year. I was sourced via social media platform. I was interested in learning more, even though my experience is beyond internship level. My experience was negative. I had a phone screen with the hiring manager. Next, it was supposed to be an interview with HR. No interview with HR yet, but spoke again with hiring manager via phone. She offered me the position this time and I accepted. I questioned HR interview. She said since we collaborated in the past no interview needed as they are going by her feedback. HR was notified that I accepted , but now HR says there needs to be a formal interview with 3 reference checks. In person interview scheduled. Hiring manager scheduled interview, but provided me with the wrong time via email. I arrived on time based on the confirmation. 10 minutes early. Met hiring manager and she told me there were considering other candidates since I was late. I'm surprised thinking I must've read the email confirmation wrong for the first time in my life. No. I pull up the email and I was on time. I had to provide proof of the interview time on my cell and she confirmed she made a mistake. This was so embarrassing and upsetting as a HR professional. Hiring manager said HR was in a meeting and she would let them know about her mistake. However, she didnt know when they would be free. She said maybe there could be a phone interview and she apologized. No interview because of the time mix up on her end. I left without meeting anyone. I followed up with hiring manager same day. She explained she let HR know what happened with the time mix up on her end. I was told schedules are tight. I was asked whether if I could return for a in person interview , again, even though she suggested a phone interview to HR. This didnt make any sense. Horrendous experience. I never spoke to HR. I rescinded my candidacy, which I should've done with the first red flag, not 5 red flags later.
