I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Intel Corporation (Portland, OR) in Nov 2016
Interview
Firstly I got an 2-on-1 interview at SWE conference career fair and then got invited for an onsite interview. The onsite interview was intense, from 8am to about 5pm. Starting with a presentation of my thesis and then 1:1 interview sections with 6 different employees of Intel, ranging from area manager, to future coworker, and one hour each section. All the interviewers were very nice people, questions including both details about my research and behavior questions. There was one interviewer who challenged me to solve an imaginary possible manufacture problem to test my knowledge, but I failed it. I also had lunch with possible coworkers and they were also super nice and offered insights of the position. I thought I aced the interview but did not get the offer, so I must have overestimated myself lol.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Intel Corporation (Leixlip) in Jul 2026
Interview
Two rounds, both behavioural. First one was a 15 minute call, second one was a more intense in-person behavioural with two managers. Behavioural questions centered around teamwork, attention to detail and methodical problem solving.

I interviewed at Intel Corporation (Albuquerque, NM)
Interview
Process begins with a phone screen with recruiter, followed by hiring manager discussion, then onsite interviews consisting of several one-on-one sessions, where candidates are usually expected to deliver a presentation.
It was pretty straightforward overall. They mainly asked questions about my resume, previous work experience, and the projects and research work I completed during my graduate studies. The conversation was conversational and focused on understanding my background and technical experience.
