On-Campus Interview
Process took 1 day. Eligibility Criteria : 60% in 10th, 12th, UG and PG. There's no written test. Around 100 people were shortlisted based on resumes from VLSI domain and 50 from embedded systems. 2 rounds of interview : Technical + HR. Technical interview was for around 40 mins for each candidate. Detailed explanation of projects mentioned in Resume was asked. Interviewer was very friendly and helpful. Questions were from basic verilog coding, scripting questions in perl, Physical design flow and digital electronics basics . After clearing technical round was sent to HR round where they asked about our interested domain.
Multiple teams from Intel come for interviewing . There were around 15-16 panels for VLSI profile. In the first round the panel allocation is done randomly, if your area of interest matches with the interviewer's team, there are high chances of getting selected provided you perform well. In case your domain of interest is different then you ll be sent for another panel matching with your interest. Sometimes if you dont do well in your interview you will be given another chance and will be sent to another panel. Some of my friends had 4-5 round of technical interview.
Results were announced by the end of the day. 70 people were shortlisted from VLSI domain.
