I applied in-person. I interviewed at Inter-State Studio & Publishing (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2009
Interview
The interview process was fine. Each season my boss hired 10-20 photographers so he interviewed a lot of people, just once. Basically, we met at a Starbucks and had a good conversation about your experience and you give him your resume. It was not the most formal interview but I assume it was the best way to do it for the large amount of people he interviewed in a short amount of time.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Inter-State Studio & Publishing (Maryland Heights, MO) in Feb 2025
Interview
It was a fairly simple interview process. There was one video screening and one in person interview. They asked typical interview questions about who you are and why you'd like to work there.

Interview
Easy interview process and good company. They just want to make sure you are reliable. They're looking for customer facing people and will train the right candidates, good for those interested in photography and not sure where to start.
The interview process was rather easy and simple, laid back. I think this is because the people interviewing had no idea what they were doing. They seemed more nervous than I was.
