I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Intuit (Mountain View, CA) in Aug 2012
Interview
I had a phone interview with a recruiter. Then i met the Hiring Manager over lunch. I came another day to the office for a round of interviews with Business Leaders. I then had few more interviews with senior HR leaders.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Are there any changes you made to your current org which you are proud of
A very informal process. Short call with a recruiter and then a meeting with the hiring manager. Only asked one question during the interview. No communication since the last round of interviews.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Intuit
Interview
Phone screen with recruiter for a half hour. The questions were pretty straightforward and more behavioral. Never heard back from recruiter after following up with them seeking input and feedback. Felt that was unprofessional.
This is based on my overall experience. I'd gone through the entire process and made it to a final interview. Was feeling good about the process. The hiring manager was about 20 minutes late to the first team interview and asked some questions that set me back because I had to review information I'd already shared and I didn't finish my presentation. Continuing on, the rest of the interviews were fine but I didn't get a strong sense that there was as much of a fit as there was when I first arrived. It took about 3 weeks and a few check-ins from me with the recruiter to hear that I hadn't been selected (not a surprise to me by this time) but they really wanted me because I would be a great fit for another group. She asked me to give her a "few days" and she would get back. It really was an extremely positive conversation that left me very hopeful. So it was interesting that I never heard from her again. She never returned the email follow ups I sent. The following year, I had a great candidate for her for a similar position I'd interviewed for - I felt based on the process I'd gone through I had a better sense of what they were looking for. Incredibly, she never returned that email either. Very sloppy. Would never want to work there based on this experience.
