Interview
After completing 3 calls the role was downgraded with an accompanying $30k decrease in salary. When asked, the recruiter said I was still in the running for both the lower role and current role, but later said that that wasn’t true, which was really confusing.
Growth potential seemed limited from conversations with leadership. Promotions seem few and far between despite seeing the opposite on LinkedIn, so I’m thinking that they are hoping to curb these in the future. Overall, the benefits are lackluster — you must provide your own device and PTO, parental leave, bereavement and sick leave are granted at the discretion of your manager. I was told from a member of leadership that she wasn’t sure if leave was paid. Hope that they can provide better benefits and more competitive salaries as they grow because the product is really exciting. It’s hard to hear that the company is growing and there is “uncapped potential” when the offer indicates otherwise.
