IonQ interview questions

This company is doing innovative work, but their recruiting process needs attention. My phone screen with the recruiter went well, and I was invited to meet with a hiring manager. We were given different video links, which caused a delay getting into the same call. I was later scheduled to meet with another hiring manager who didn’t show up for the call. I followed up with the recruiter to reschedule, and when we eventually met, he addressed me by the wrong name. During the conversation, he mentioned I might be overqualified and then shared that the role was being put on hold pending the onboarding of a new leader. Several weeks later, the recruiter reached out again to confirm my continued interest, noting I was a top candidate and would hear from the new recruiter soon. I confirmed I was. A few days after that, I received a standard rejection email from the new recruiter. The experience felt inconsistent and disorganized, and I hope the company invests in a more reliable and respectful recruiting process.
