They asked about my work experience and I described my duties and certifications. It was about 30 mins. When asking about the client I would work for they said I’d have an opportunity to speak to others in the role. The hiring process was fine but the onboarding on the client end did not go as expected.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Iris Software
Interview
I had a disappointing experience during my interaction with a recruiter from this organization. While the process initially started well, communication was inconsistent, with long delays between updates.
When an interview slot was finally proposed, I requested a reschedule due to a genuine conflict and was told an alternative would be checked. During this time, I continued exploring other opportunities and was transparent about my status when asked.
However, a recent interaction was concerning. After missing a call due to a prior commitment, I received a follow-up call where the recruiter spoke in an unprofessional and accusatory tone, suggesting that I was “ruining relationships with recruiters,” and ended the conversation abruptly.
Such communication felt inappropriate and discouraging. Candidates should be treated with professionalism and mutual respect, especially when navigating multiple opportunities and timelines.
Following up occasionally is normal—but expecting me to repeatedly check in or prove interest is not professional. Coordination is their responsibility
