The whole process took two months. I had 5 Interviews spanning over the first month. Each one seemed to be better than the next and I was made to feel like I had a job. I was told they needed to work out logistics and I should hear back in a few days on next steps. After a week of stand still with no updates. I reached to via phone and email to follow up. I did not hear anything back for a week. Then I got a email apologizing for the delay saying they were still waiting on senior management and said they will update me in a week or so. I knew that getting on with JDI would take time, that they have a lengthy process and a lot of steps to go through. Two more weeks go by and finally I get a call but not the call I was expecting. They said that they will not be hiring for this position for another few months and they did not want to keep me waiting or hold me back from another opportunity. (although they have now had me waiting for the past two months) They said that when they do hire for this positions they have decided to go with another candidate. I understand you hire the best person for the job but I don't think it takes two months to make that decision. They made me feel like I had the job and if not the exact job I had applied for that they would have another position for me in a different department. My best advice is do not get your hopes up, even if you are in the middle of interviews keep looking for other opportunities.
