I applied online. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan in Jan 2021
Interview
Went through the Hirevue and Pyrametics process, I then was invited to their two day conference( advancing Black pathways). Very informative conference, lasted for 2 days.
Then I went on to Superday (this when things got weird)
Based off the interviewers interactions with me, they seemed intimidated by my past work and educational accomplishments. Being that I was invited to apply through their diverse program, they must assumed that all of their "diverse" candidates would be coming in with no actual experience. However that was not the case with me.
This was all done virtually over zoom and it is clear that the interviewers were chatting or sharing notes amongst themselves during the breaks. Because as I transitioned into the different break rooms, the interviewers already had preconceived notions about me before I even spoke to them.
Even if offered the internship, I would have declined simply based off this experience alone. I now know what they are looking for in their "diverse" candidates.

Hirevue and it was pretty hard not gonna lie. But it’s understandable given the size of the firm. They take a while to get back to you but don’t ghost like some firms.
